My video shows a black micro suction pad, but mine is white — did I get the wrong part?
Nope! We switched to a white micro suction pad in production for improved performance and a cleaner look.
You’ll see a blue tab — peel that off to remove the protective film. Underneath is the white micro suction pad, ready to use.
I didn’t receive a battery in my shipment, but I added one during the Kickstarter campaign.
That’s expected! We redesigned The Traveler to include a built-in rechargeable battery that charges via USB-C, so no separate battery is needed.
Everyone who originally added a battery received a credit on PledgeBox for that purchase.
How do I charge my Traveler?
Use the included USB-C cable and plug into any standard USB port, wall adapter, or power bank.
A full charge typically takes about ~2 hours and lasts through dozens of uses depending on spray pressure and duration.
My Traveler won’t stick to the toilet seat — what should I do?
Make sure the surface is clean and dry before pressing the micro suction pad in place.
If it loses grip, gently rinse it with water and let it air dry — that reactivates the suction’s stickiness.
Do I need the toilet spacer for cruise ship toilets?
Some cruise ship toilets have a hollow seat with a raised lip. If your Traveler doesn’t sit flush, you may need our Cruise Ship Toilet Spacer.

Is it safe to pack in a suitcase for airline travel?
Absolutely. The Traveler Bidet is lightweight, compact, and designed with travel in mind. It has a contained lithium ion battery and can be completely powered down so it is airline safe.
What is the size and weight of the traveler?
The Water Reservoir is 8 x 6 x 3.5 inches and it is about 1lb.
Can I use it at home too?
Definitely. While it's designed for travel, many customers love it so much they use it at home as well. It’s a great option for renters, cruises, RVs, guest bathrooms, or anyone who wants the bidet experience without a permanent install.
Is there a weight restriction?
The PortaBidets Traveler has been tested to support users up to approximately 300 lbs when installed and used as directed. However, because every toilet shape, seat design, and installation setup can vary, performance may differ depending on the specific toilet and how the unit is positioned.
In some cases, users may find it helpful to slightly lift up off the toilet seat when sliding the wand in for wash mode, then sit, then again a slight rise to take weight off the toilet seat when returning the wand back. We are also currently developing a handheld wand adapter for the Traveler, which will allow the device to be used in a handheld configuration with no weight limitations.
