The Traveler Bidet Tips & Tricks: Aligning the Track and Using Spacers Like a Pro
Share
Getting the perfect travel bidet experience with The Traveler starts with one key step: proper alignment. If it isn't setup properly, performance can be affected and sometimes it can be tricky to setup as all toilets are different! The good news? A few simple adjustments can make all the difference.
Below are our best tips and tricks to help you align the track correctly and choose the right spacer for your toilet — whether you’re at an Airbnb, in a hotel, or on a cruise.
1. Prep Work: Clean & Dry Toilet
Before attaching the Traveler, take a moment to make sure the rim is clean and dry.
2. Start With the Track: Alignment Matters
- Gently slide to the center
- Place track on the rim
- Make sure it is centered on front edge and the toilet seat is resting on the front edge of track slider, with the tabs sticking out.

- Make sure it is not sitting inside a hollow seat bottom.
3. When (and Why) to Use a Spacer
Not all toilets are shaped the same — especially when traveling. That’s where spacers come in.
Use a spacer if:
The wand doesn’t have enough clearance to move freely
First start with the included spacer. Some cruise ship toilets and other specialty toilets have a very large inner lip and will require the larger cruise ship spacer. Spacers create just enough height to allow smooth movement and proper positioning — without compromising stability.

Final Thoughts
A perfectly aligned track and properly chosen spacer setup turn the Traveler into a set-it-and-forget-it experience. Once dialed in, you’ll enjoy consistent comfort, smooth operation, and a clean you can count on — anywhere you travel.
