How to Install and Use The Traveler Bidet

Instructions on how to install and use your portable travel bidet, the Traveler by PortaBidets.

1. Remove bidet parts from the water tank

2. Charge the internal battery via the USB-C port on the pump and the included USB-C cable. The top LED will show red when charging and green when fully charged.

3. Select the desired nozzle from the precision enema wash, the general wash or the feminine wash. Connect the sprayer wand sections to each other and to the section in the slider housing.   Adjust the telescoping nozzle section. If you prefer to sit back on the toilet (most men), fully extend the wand. If you tend to sit closer to the front of the toilet (most women), retract the wand. Adjustments can be made for personal preference and to accommodate different toilet shapes.  For feminine cleaning, attach the feminine wand section in place of the posterior wand section.

4. Using the blue tab, Peel off and discard the clear protective film from the micro suction tape on the underside of the slider housing.  Micro suction tape is washable with soap and water.  It’s required to be totally dry to stick properly.  Pat dry and use a blow dryer for fastest results.

5. Align the bidet slider housing centered on the front edge of the toilet seat and rim.  With a little pressure, stick it down to a clean, dry rim surface.

6. Put the seat down, sit and test the wand slider by moving it left to right. If there is interference of the seat preventing the wand from moving freely, add the included spacer on top of the slider housing.  Slide the wand all the way left to check that it reaches the center of the toilet.  Slide the wand all the way right to store the wand for toilet use.

7. Fill the water tank with the desired temperature water, place the lid back on and place it next to the toilet on the left side as you face the toilet. Orient the container so that the round hole is towards the back of the toilet.

8. On the pump, move the power switch to the ON position. The LED will turn on briefly to show the battery status. Place the pump into the receptacle on top of the container lid with the PortaBidet logo facing away from the toilet.

9. Connect the hose from the slider housing to the pump outlet that’s below the plus (+) button.

10. The inlet hose is already connected to the pump below the minus button, insert the loose end into the hole on the lid of the water container.  The hole in the lid should be in the back under the minus (-) button.  If using the extra capacity water bag, place it behind the container and feed the intake hose into the bag.  We suggest while using the bag that you have the bidet container full of water to keep it stable and to have extra water available.

11. Sit down, after toilet use, slide the wand into the cleaning position and press the plus (+) button once to start the flow of water, adjust the wand or your body position if necessary. Press the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons to adjust the water pressure. Press and hold the minus (-) button to instantly stop the water flow.

12. The LED battery indicator will light while the bidet is running.  GREEN when over 20% full battery and RED when under 20% battery remaining.  Battery level can be checked when the pump is off by pressing the minus (-) button.  When in low battery condition, the highest speed may be disabled to prolong bidet usability.

13. Before packing up, run the pump in the sink momentarily to remove residual water, clean the wand and slider parts of the bidet, in the sink with soap and water.   The pump section is not water proof, do not immerse in or put under running water.  Wipe clean only.

14. Pack the device for travel by switching the power switch to off. Verify the switch is in the off position by pressing the plus or minus button and observing the LED doesn't light and the motor doesn't turn on.  Remove the track and wand from the toilet.  Disconnect the wand sections from the track section. Place the track and pump with hoses still connected into the container.  Then place the wands, wand slider, and USB-C cable into the container.
